FAQ

Everything You Need to Know

Got questions before casting off? We've got answers.

Is Rome a good location for fishing?

The Roman coastline, particularly the stretch of sea facing the Tiber river mouth, is one of the premier "hotspots" for sportfishing in Italy. The unique seabed structure and the merging of fresh water with the salty currents of the Tyrrhenian Sea create a nutrient-rich ecosystem. The migratory routes of apex predators, such as Bluefin Tuna and Mediterranean Spearfish, make Rome a strategic base for Big Game, offshore trolling, and coastal fishing.

Which species can I catch in Rome?

Bluefin Tuna, Little Tunny, Mediterranean Spearfish, Albacore, Swordfish, Mahi-Mahi (Dorado), Leerfish, Bluefish, Octopus, Cuttlefish, Gilthead Bream, and various bottom-dwelling species.

Can I bring my own gear?

We provide premium equipment from the world's leading brands (Japanese, American, and Italian). However, if you have a "lucky" rod of your own, you are more than welcome to bring it along.

What if I have never fished before?

Our trips are open to everyone. We will assist you step-by-step, teaching you the fundamentals of fighting a fish and handling the catch.

What happens in case of bad weather?

Safety is our top priority. If sea or weather conditions do not allow for a safe trip, the booking will be rescheduled to the first available date. You may cancel your reservation up to 3 days in advance.

Can I bring a non-fishing companion?

Absolutely! The boat is spacious and perfect for those who simply want to enjoy a day of sun and sea.

What happens if we catch a fish? Can I take it home?

We strictly adhere to current maritime regulations. For Bluefin Tuna, we frequently practice Catch & Release, while for other species, it is often possible to keep the catch.

Is a catch guaranteed?

The sea is not an aquarium, but our expertise and advanced onboard electronics maximize your chances of success. The thrill of the hunt is an integral part of the adventure.

Are children allowed?

Of course! They are the future of fishing and are always welcome on board.
